MODENA – replacement of trolleybus switches

EŽ Praha realized the delivery 21 sets of electric trolleybus switches, delivery of devices for automatic road setting (ASC) into trolleybuses and setting and revival of the system. Furthermore, the project documentation for the actual switching of the switches and the documentation of the actual execution and the chief assembly.

Present operated coil switches In Modena was controlled by pre-contact, the project solved the exchange of these switches for modern automatic. Adaptation of the overhead contact line around switches was also part of the construction. The switches in the center are fixed on the walls of the house and the customer’s condition was to keep the original fastening method and the weight of the switch. The overhead contact line is simple, trolley Cu 100 mm² (80 mm²), the supporting net is mainly from Parafil dia. 13,5 mm.

Delivered switches – 19 sets of switches with a 20 ° cross – due to the specification conditions, a special “compact” design of the assemblies was required, 5 types of these assemblies were delivered. 2 sets of switches with 10 ° cross. The control switchboards are located between the switch points, each switch has a yellow-orange LED signaling lamp. The ASC device – a TAG control and a driver’s terminal with visualization of individual switches – has been delivered, mounted and revived in 26 trolleybuses.
