As part of the extension of the tram line to Podbaba, it was necessary to reconstruct the technology in the Střešovice substation to ensure the power supply to the line.

The whole converter station technology was replaced except for traction transformers. It consisted of a 22 kV switchboard (6 + 1 fields), a 100 kVA self-consumption distribution transformer, a 400 V AC back-up switchboard, a traction feeder block (16 feeder fields + 2 longitudinal clutch fields) with rectifiers (three 6-pulse). cables, switchboards of own consumption (AC + DC) and dispatching control technology controlled from energy-technology dispatching.

The condition of the reconstruction was the maintenance of the converter station. Assembly work was therefore divided into stages, which gradually replaced the technology. In front of the metering station was placed traction container, which replaced the currently switched technology.
